Stoiq

Focus across Mac and iPhone

Block distractions.
Stay focused.

Choose one task and the apps and sites you want blocked. Start on Mac or iPhone; when both are signed into the same Stoiq account, the other device joins the same block with your task, countdown, pause state, and its own protections. If you drift, Stoiq shows the task and takes you back in one click.

How it works

How Stoiq protects a focus session

Most blockers only close an app or website. Stoiq also keeps your task and next step visible, so you know exactly what to return to.

01

Choose one task.

Pick the task you want to finish and write down the next action. Stoiq keeps both visible while your focus session is running.

02

Block selected distractions.

Choose the apps and websites you want blocked. The same focus session can protect your time across Mac and iPhone.

03

Return to the task.

If you open a blocked distraction, Stoiq shows the task and next action you chose so you can get back to work quickly.

One block across both devices

Start on Mac or iPhone. The other device follows.

When both devices use the same Stoiq account, the device that starts the focus block owns it. The other device mirrors the task, timer, and whether the block is focusing, paused, or on a break. You see one session instead of two timers that can drift apart.

01
Start once.

The starting device owns the block, history, and any Pinecones earned.

02
Protect both screens.

The other device mirrors the live block and activates the protections configured on that device.

03
Control it from either device.

Pause, resume, or add ten minutes. The owning device confirms the change for both screens.

Signed-in sync temporarily relays the task title and session state while the block is active. It does not relay notes, steps, outcomes, or browsing context. Without a signed-in account, nothing is relayed.

When you drift

When you open a blocked distraction

Stoiq shows the task you chose and lets you return to it, continue to the blocked app intentionally, or ask for quiet. You stay in control.

  • 01 See the task and next action you chose.
  • 02 Return to work with one click.
  • 03 Continue or ask for quiet whenever you need to.

Behavioral design

Designed with research-informed behavioral psychology.

Stoiq does not ask you to overpower distraction with more willpower. It changes the small decisions before, during, and after a focus block so the next useful action is easier to see.

BEFORE THE BLOCK

Implementation intentions

Decide what you will return to before distraction appears.

Choose one task and write the next concrete action before the timer starts.

WHEN YOU DRIFT

Choice architecture

Put the return path in front of the distracting path.

The interruption leads with your task and a clear way back, while continuing stays an intentional choice.

AFTER REAL PROGRESS

Positive reinforcement

Reward focused time without streaks or punishment.

A completed block earns 1 Pinecone per full focus minute. End early and you still earn at half rate. Missing a day breaks nothing.

Bounded

You control the block list.

Stoiq only blocks the apps and websites you select.

Private

Stoiq does not read your screen.

The reminder is triggered by your block list, not by monitoring the content of your work.

Flexible

No streaks or guilt.

You can continue, take a break, or ask for quiet at any time.

Stay focused on one task

Protect your work from the apps and sites that pull you away.

Choose the task, select your distractions, and let Stoiq make it easier to get back to work.
